So the week begins again, its funny how fast Monday mornings come around?
Im sure the troops will be rallied in the global offices of GDS, with the big shouts of the amazing Christmas run, prizes, days out and piss ups!
Funny thing, who's company will be scammed this week? How much of your marketing budget will you waste to look at a glossy magazine with a picture of your company in?
We need REAL evidence people, who out there is willing to start emailing weekly sales figures to thegdsscam@googlemail.com, who out there is willing to start emailing the booked companies list? we need real evidence and real proof to start disrupting what they do!
We are gathering pace, but the business community needs to be made more aware of these illeagal business practices.

ReplyDeleteAfter reading many comments on this blog, I recalled many conversations that I had wiht a friend of mine who used to work for GDS. He quit his job at GDS because he was told to do many things that were illegal and unjust.
ReplyDeleteFirst, my frined has a business degree, a JD and an LLM from a good law school. He wanted to work for GDS because it was a publishing company and he hoped to work for their legal department someday.
Second, while he was working for GDS, he was told to lie about GDS, its publications and the numbers of published copies distributed in the market. Because he had remembered the rules of ethics from the law school and had worked experience in litigation, he quit this job thinking that he is not doing the right things.
Finally, my law office is close to GDS's old office in New York, so my friend and I used to meet for lunch often. He told me about these unethical practices during our lunch meetings. He also thought that there could be some litigations against GDS if it continues to do such illegal marketing/practices. Based on what he told me, I noticed that GDS might be liable to some because the law protects the victims.
I will look forward to your comments on this.
GDS International throws a lot of money at you when you sue them. They had a few law suits and Spencer did everything to settle them but yeah unethical scam is the best way to describe GDS International...just look at their CEO.
